The Artist
Quiet observations and deliberate frames
Rooted in film, shaped by design, driven by stories.
Origins
From film roots to intentional image-making
Born in Hong Kong and raised in the United Kingdom, my journey with photography began in a school darkroom. Developing black-and-white film taught me the value of patience, light, and waiting for the unscripted moment.
Before returning fully to photography, I spent years working across creative and product development. That design background instilled a deep appreciation for negative space, clean composition, and purposeful restraint—elements that now guide every story I tell through the lens.
Beyond photography, my perspective has been shaped by an unusual upbringing. Growing up around piranhas with my grandpa and learning about agriculture and growing taught me patience, observation, and an appreciation for the natural world. These experiences taught me to look closer, notice subtle changes, and understand that the most compelling moments often happen without warning. It’s a perspective I bring to my photography: observing patiently, anticipating the moment, and capturing what might otherwise go unnoticed.
Behind the Lens
Autism has helped lead me into the world of photography, giving my creative journey a deeper purpose. It has inspired me to see beyond the frame, embrace different perspectives and support a more inclusive world.
True observation requires looking past the surface to find the unspoken rhythm of each individual.
